QUALIFI Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Procedures for Skin Rejuvenation (610/1193/9)
The awarding body is QUALIFI.
This qualification is pass or fail
1 day training per week for 24 weeks in our training academy (Tuesday) 9.30 – 2 pm
This Qualification costs £2500. A deposit of £1000 secures your place. If not paying in full, a standing order can be set up for £500 per month thereafter.
You must be over 18
Hold NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy
In circumstances where you have no formal qualifications e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy, you can be considered for a place on the course as you will be permitted to do an extra Unit of achievement AP301. This pathway is ideal for those who have non Ofqual certificates e.g. CPD certificates and considerable years working in the beauty industry carrying out & demonstrating industry knowledge.
Recognition of prior learning, if you can demonstrate that you can meet the assessment requirements through knowledge & understanding and your skills.
If you have accredited certificates relating to Level 2, 3 or 4 in Beauty Therapy, these will be considered, with proof of certificates
Weekly attendance required
Subject to interview and the ability to demonstrate the relevant skills
You must have current & valid Basic Life Support Training and Anaphylaxis Training with an Ofqual-regulated certificate; if you don’t, we can help with this. (We offer this training).

Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Procedures for Skin Rejuvenation includes – 5 Mandatory Units
CO401 Health, Safety and Hygiene for Aesthetic Procedures – will be observed by the Assessor on at least 2 occasions. There are 2 tasks to complete, Task 1 - Design a Salon/Clinic Handbook & Task 2 - Design and implement a risk assessment in full to support an aesthetic procedure. Short Answer Question paper will be completed in your own time, which requires research.
CO402 Client Consultation for Aesthetic Procedures - will be observed by the Assessor on at least 2 occasions. Task 1 complete an assignment by creating a Consultation Support brochure. Short Answer Question paper will be completed in your own time, which requires research.
AP401 - The biochemistry and biology of cells - Short Answer Question paper will be completed in your own time, which requires research. 1 x MCQ - multiple choice question exam paper (combining units AP401/AP402/AP403)
AP402 Skin morphology and the inflammatory response - Short Answer Question paper will be completed in your own time, which requires research. 1 x MCQ - multiple choice question exam paper (combining units AP401/AP402/AP403)
AP403 - Skin disorders and diseases relative to aesthetic practice - Short Answer Question paper will be completed in your own time, which requires research. 1 x MCQ - multiple choice question exam paper (combining units AP401/AP402/AP403)

AP409 - Skin Rejuvenation using Microneedling - will be observed by the assessor on at least 4 occasions - an additional 6 treatments, 4 on the face and 2 on the body will be recorded using the generic Aesthetic Procedure Case Study form, these will be done in your own time. Evidence to include photo images of the treatment area before, immediately after the procedure, and fully healed results (maximum 28 days). Short Answer Question paper will be completed in your own time, which requires research. Oral questions will be carried out during the assessment procedure.
AP410 Skin Rejuvenation using Superficial Chemical peels - will be observed by the assessor on at least 4 occasions - 3 on the face and 1 on the body to meet client objectives for example:
1. skin rejuvenation
2. improvement of superficial blemishes
3. improvement of pigmentation variations
4. improvement of skin texture and tone
5. improvement of skin hydration
6. improvement of acne
7. improvement of scarring
An additional 6 treatments, 4 on the face and 2 on the body will be recorded using the generic Aesthetic Procedure Case Study form; these will be done in your own time. Evidence to include images of the treatment area before, immediately after the procedure, and fully healed results (maximum 28 days). AP411 Skin rejuvenation using mesotherapy - Mesotherapy treatments will be observed by the assessor on at least 4 occasions to meet the client's objectives using:
1. Mesotherapy procedures using the no-needle technique
2. Mesotherapy procedures using the micro needle technique
3. Mesotherapy procedures using an automated device
An additional 6 treatments 4 on the face and 2 on the body, recorded using the generic Aesthetic Procedure Case Study form. Evidence to include images of the treatment area before, immediately after the procedure, and fully healed results (maximum 28 days).
Knowledge and understanding will be assessed through a centre-devised assignment. Oral questions will be carried out during the assessment procedure.
AP415 Skin rejuvenation using dermaplaning - Dermaplaning treatments will be observed by the assessor on at least 3 occasions to meet client objectives for example:
1. progressive desquamation
2. removal of hair
3. progressive skin renewal
4. anti-ageing
5. preparation prior to skin peeling procedures
6. preparation prior to photo rejuvenation procedures
7. increase absorption of pharmaceuticals and skincare products
An additional 4 treatments on the face will be recorded using the generic Aesthetic Procedure Case Study form; these will be done in your own time. Evidence to include images of the treatment area before, immediately after the procedure, and fully healed results (maximum 28 days). Knowledge and understanding will be assessed through a centre-devised assignment. Oral questions will be carried out during the assessment procedure.
AP301 Skincare to support aesthetic procedures – THIS UNIT IS ONLY TO BE COMPLETED IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A LEVEL 3 QUALIFICATION.
Facial treatments will be observed by the Assessor on at least 4 occasions. Knowledge and understanding will be assessed through a centre-devised assignment. This course is designed to teach you the foundations of eyelash enhancement with classic individual lash extensions. This course will give you the skills and confidence to carry out this highly requested treatment.
You will need to bring your own model to carry out the treatment. This course is delivered over 6 hours and covers Health, Safety & Hygiene, Consultation, Patch Testing, Contra-indications, Eyelash Isolation, Choosing the Correct Lashes, Application, Removal, Maintenance & Aftercare. You will learn the essential theory of the treatment first, the move on to practicing the treatment on your model. Models will require a patch test 24 – 48 hours prior to the course.
